BYU Undergraduate Team Recap
Last but not least, we present the undergraduate team of Brigham Young University. They enjoyed being the last team presenting as it took off a lot of the pressure and offered more time to prepare and rehearse. The excitement of the competition and the adrenaline involved kept this team going throughout.
Demonstrating a common theme amongst the undergraduate teams, the team emphasized the importance of being open to new ideas and talking things out with each other when tension arose. Since this is the first time that they have worked together on a case, communication was a vital part of their performance. With a number of different events pulling their time away from the case, the team felt that the Summit simulated a real world experience where they would have many different demands on their time.
āIām finally able to sleep without guilt,ā joked one team member. As in the last 36 hours, they worked rigorously to find creative solutions to market their idea more effectively and efficiently. Their advice for future participants on time management: rest more on the first night and work more on the second.
