Meet Team OSU
Michael Hrostoski
Michael received his B.S.B.A. from the University of Arizona, with a concentration in Management Information Systems, in his hometown of Tucson, AZ. Upon completing his degree he found himself drawn toward sales and marketing so he began a career with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in their management training program. After working his way up to branch manager of two stores, he left to take an opportunity in advertising sales, where he sold print and online advertising. This past summer he worked for Deutsche Post DHL as a talent management analyst.
At the Fisher College, Michael dedicates substantial amounts of time towards improving the student experience. He is the President of the Fisher Graduate Student Association, Vice President of the International Business Club, an active member of half a dozen other student organizations, and a mentor to four first-year students through several mentoring programs. He also teaches an undergraduate course on business fundamentals and teaches free yoga classes through the Ohio State Yoga Club when his schedule allows.
Eduard Lapteanu
Eduard Lapteanu is originally from Republic of Moldova. He obtained Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Banking from Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies (Chisinau Moldova) and Bachelor’s with concentration in Finance from University of Evansville (Evansville, IN). Both fully funded through academic based scholarships. Eduard worked both in Eastern Europe and the United State for fortune 500 companies, among them General Electric, Fortune Brands and Eli Lilly. Currently Eduard is enrolled at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business pursing his MBA with concentration in Operations and Finance. Eduard Lapteanu was recognized by The Ohio State University through University Fellowship, Operations & Logistics Management Scholarship and MBA 2010 Fisher Scholar Award. In his free time he enjoys practicing Judo and traveling.
Chad Stutz
Since completing his B.A. at the University of North Carolina, Chad has lived on both coasts and has worked in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. In the non-profit sector, he was a founder of Manhattan Theatre Source and helped to build this arts organization into a self-sustaining entity that is still serving artists in New York City today. In the for-profit sector, his work has ranged from consulting engagements with Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial endeavors.
This past summer, Chad participated in the Fisher Global Summer Fellowship, working as a Project Manager on two separate consulting engagements in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, he works as one of the Managing Partners for Fisher Professional Services, a for-profit consultancy that is operated from within the Fisher College of Business. He is still considering post-MBA opportunities.
Ryan Kilpatrick
Ryan Kilpatrick received his Bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster in 2005 with major in Economics. After graduation, he worked at National City Corporation for three years, serving in their retail bank management program. Ryan is currently pursuing an MBA at the Fisher College of Business with an emphasis in Finance and Strategy. During the summer of 2009, he interned at Huntington Bancshares Inc. in downtown Columbus, OH. After graduation from Fisher in June of 2010, Ryan will be joining Ford Motor Company in their Financial Analyst rotational program.
Jeremy Jacobs
Originally from Mansfield, Ohio, Jeremy Jacobs received a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in Organizational Leadership from Miami University in 2004. He is a second year MBA student majoring in marketing and strategy. Upon graduation Jeremy hopes to work with companies interested in developing an innovation platform for their business. He previously worked for a retail fireworks company in a management capacity. On a personal note, Jeremy enjoys traveling, history, and summer.
Seth Blatter
Seth Blatter grew up in Ohio and received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2006. After graduation he worked for Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America as an engineering specialist in the areas of bodyweld and powertrain tooling. While with Toyota, Seth was assigned to plants in Canada, Kentucky, California, and West Virginia. His role at Toyota was to execute projects to improve vehicle quality, reduce cost, and resolve production problems using Toyota Production System principles.
To change his career focus from engineering to business operations and supply chain, Seth is earning his MBA from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and will graduate in June 2010. Recently, Seth completed a supply chain management internship at BMW in South Carolina, focusing on the service parts logistics network, and studied abroad in Taipei, Taiwan at National ChengChi University for four months. Seth’s future goals include entering a leadership development program with a multinational company this year and continuing to improve his Mandarin Chinese.
Vandana Agrawal
Vandana Agrawal is a 2nd year MBA student at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, majoring in Marketing/Strategy. At Fisher, Vandana is the President of the MBA Marketing Association, the VP of Communications for the Indian MBA Association and sits on the board of the Red Cross of Central Ohio as a Fisher Board Fellow.
Vandana worked as a writer/producer for several national broadcast networks, including CNN and Fox News. She earned her BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and a MA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri.
In her free time, Vandana loves pop culture, travel, cooking and watching sports… Go Bucks!
